I shoot film for many reasons. One reason in particular is that I don't want my photographs to be nothing more than JPEGs lost or forgotten on a hard drive. I want that tangible experience of transforming what I've composed through my viewfinder into a negative frame of film. Sure, once the film is processed and scanned it's then also a digital image of a physical frame of film, but I can that film up to the light and see it, it will always exist first and foremost as a roll of film that I can keep forever. The memories captured on those frames of film will always help me remember that day.
